Funding work to your home
WHiA are Warrington Borough Council’s nominated home improvement agency and can offer different types of help with home improvements and Funding Options.
We have funds available to assist clients who cannot afford to pay for essential repairs. All available funding options have rules about the types of help it will offer, and about the criteria you must meet in order to qualify for help. As all funding options differ we advise that you contact the WHiA office to discuss your personal circumstances with a member of the team.

Bathroom Improvements
Adapted Bathrooms
WHiA can assist you with the adaption of your bathroom. We can help with the design, oversee the work and get a trusted contractor to carry out the work.
You could benefit from the following bathroom adaptions:
- White wall hung basin
- Chrome lever taps for ease of use
- Thermostatic shower mixer unit with hand-held showerhead
- Grab rails and drop down rails
- Free standing shower seat
- Ceramic tiles in a choice of colours
- Fitted wall cabinet with mirrored doors
- Shelves and shaver socket, positioned at easily accessible heights
- Energy efficient ceiling down lighters
- Heated towel rails
- Non-slip flooring and shower surfaces
Although our initial advice is free if you decide to proceed with the work there is a small agency fee.
