Our Lifetime Dementia Cafe were delighted to welcome The Warrington Wolves Foundation for the latest instalment of their In the Sheds rugby reminiscence project. The session focused on sharing memories of the Warrington Wolves over the years, the Warrington rugby community, culture and some of the little moments that fans have remembered for a lifetime. The session included the following: Interactive activity- Spot the Ball, guest speaker, memory box discussions.

James Howes, Health & Wellbeing Manager at The Wolves Foundation said “The sessions are focused on individuals sharing their memories of Warrington and the Wire over the years!

“We are joined at each session by a special guest who will reminisce about their lives in the town and people are also encouraged to bring their own personal memorabilia to share with the group.

“Older people are particularly vulnerable to isolation in later life where they may not participate in any activities in the local community.

“In the Sheds aims to unite people using the power of memories to initiate conversations and build social connectedness for those who may be isolated or experiencing loneliness”.

Jane Dobson, LifeTime volunteer said “The session was amazing, it was lovely to see all our members so enthralled…. you could hear a pin drop!

“We have all been invited to watch the Wolves play!

“What a great experience for our members”
