Michele recently retired from the role of Chief Executive at Breakthrough UK a successful disabled people’s organisation which promotes independent living and employment. She has a particular interest in the role of housing as a social determinant of health and is passionate about person centred and asset-based approaches. Michele has nationally known expertise in disability issues and was awarded a place on the ‘Power 100 list’ of most influential disabled people in the UK in 2017.
Michele has significant experience as a Chair and held a co-chair role with the Greater Manchester Mayoral Disabled People’s Panel up until her retirement. Michele lives in Warrington.
