Our Money Advice Team is raising awareness of the Warm Home Discount scheme – which is now open for applications.
The Scheme allows £140 credit onto your electricity account if your supplier is participating in the scheme and you meet their criteria.
If you receive Guarantee Pension Credit, you don’t need to do anything, and you will get the discount automatically.
Otherwise you may qualify if you are on a low income, have young children, or anyone in your household has disabilities. In this case, you must make a claim to your electricity supplier.
Applications can be made online or by telephoning your supplier. You can apply online or get more information at gov.uk or you can contact the Money Advice team if you would like free advice and support to complete the application.
