ideas and to suggest improvements; to discuss changes
in service
and priorities on particular issues or projects and
to explore different solutions. The group meetings
are informal

discussion. All meetings are properly minuted, copies

Estates
have been given a high profile by Warrington Housing Association,
who have undertaken to examine areas
where people live. To help us we have completed a number of estate
profiles throughout our housing stock. This has given residents
the opportunity to tell us what they like and dislike about living
in
their area. This information will now be used by Warrington Housing
Association
to look at how changes can be implemented to improve any areas
where services can be made better. The response of residents was
excellent
with between 47 and 61 percent of residents returning their forms.
Results varied between different areas, however when asked what
residents liked most about their areas they stated that the areas
were well
maintained, that neighbours were friendly and areas were generally
safe with low
crime rates. Children’s play areas, parking issues and stray
animals were the main problems on estates. An action plan addressing
the major issues raised by residents is now being implemented.
The profile reports have been posted to all residents in the relevant
areas, reporting on the results of the surveys. The profile reports
also includes useful information about the facilities in the local
and surrounding areas, this will be particularly useful to new residents
moving into the areas.
